I cured a rooster with wry neck that started with a head injury. 2 things you can do. Castor oil massages on the neck, and DMSO applications. Both relieve inflamation and act as an analgesic. My guy was perfectly normal within 2 weeks doing that. A half of a baby aspirin won't hurt either.

I was busy posting pics of her offspring with my blue silkie boy while you were responding. LOL

This is her. She was rather large for a silkie mix, but had the beard and crest. And no, I never got to see her father. Here are two of her offspring, both boys. Elvis and Tom Tom.

I'm lucking out this spring. I have two buyers coming for Roosters! Usually it's hard to sell them and I got overloaded. Sold 4 already and two more sales in the works so far.

I had a hen named Dark Rose that I suspect was silkie x BCM. I put her in with one of my silkie boys, but wasn't impressed with her offspring. Just sold her.

One thing about kitty kibbles is it's loaded with vitamins and minerals too, plus animal fats. My kids fight over them, meanwhile Pookie Boo loves chicken food. He's always with me and sneaks food when I have my back turned.

Start tossing them some kitty kibbles to up their protein. Gals coming off winter months need and eggstra boost. Maybe some greens too.

A great alternative is to keep it moist with coconut oil. I use it on my kids (flock) and have never had an infection set in. It's natural and cheap.

Guess he's just late bloomer then. All his brothers are singing away!
