    Egg production is down...

    So for some reason hens aren't laying very much anymore. I have 7 of them and about 4 weeks ago I was getting 4 eggs a day but now I am getting 1 a day or 1 every other day. I though it might be because they are laying them around the yard so I shut them in the coop for 3 full days but still...

    New to this...what do I do with potential roosters?

    So if there is more than one they won't get a long with each other? I couldn't have a rooster pen and put them in there (If there is more than one). I guess I'll just sell the extra and keep the one i like the best.

    I just bought them from a guy in town who has a ton of chickens, not a hatchery. This kid was there and he claimed that he could tell which was which so I supposedly have 5 hens and 1 rooster but I'm not 100% sure he knows what he's doing!
