Ooooh wonderful! We free range ours every few days for an hour, but i worry about loose dogs getting them. We have a semi enclosed yard, but the neighbors 3 dogs are always coming in my yard! I really need to start on their coop but its been super hot weather.
I am sorry to hear you are having this happen to you. I dont really have any info, just wanted to show some support. Im in Oakley so we are practically neighbors! Pls keep us posted on the issue.
Loving these pix! Keep em coming! It would be heartbreaking if she is a he. :( I only have 2 chickens -- Chickadee and Lil Momma. Chickadee is a BR and Lil Momma is a mix, Americauna/Bantum. We are soooo in love! But I really need to get them outdoors soon. They are 5-6 weeks now.
This thread isnt recent, but the info helped me so much I just wanted to thank you all! My lil chicks are 5 weeks and still indoors, these tips worked very well. I havent tried the stuffed animal and prolly wont. But everything else worked within about 7 mins!
Sounds like everything is coming along nicely! Im way behind. My 2 chicks are growing fast and still living indoors. I still dont even have any materials for coop building. Hoping this weekend!
Okay. At what point should i separate them? Things are loud and a little crazy. I love my babies but i want them to sort things out so order will be obtained. Hopefully tmrw will be better. Today was hard.
First off my barred rock who ive had for 4 wks, most likely a pullet, was introduced last night to an americauna/bantam mix pullet 5 wks old. At first br was the high hen, but today tables have turned. Now im a little concerned cos the new hen is getting really hen high.....should i separate...
