Hello all, I am Bobbe's husband. I just want to add that this banty is going on 5 months old. Bobbe found her ill a little under a week ago and she seems to be losing a little more movement in her legs every day. None of the others that were running with her seem to have any symptoms...
I live in KY so it has been in the low to mid 80s in the afternoon. I also thought that maybe the eggs had not been warming long enough to start developing. I hope they are ok. Like I said she is the perfect mother now but I know they cooled down at least once early on.

Broody Wyandotte let the other hens run her off the nest the first morning after she started sitting on 10 eggs. I know she was off for a while. Did this hurt the eggs?

Hello, the1much. I'm pretty sure one distinct difference is that Dominikers have a short rose comb, and Rocks have a tall single comb. I read somewhere that Dominikers were actually one of the breeds used to make Barred Rocks.
