R EGGS OK ?

Broody Wyandotte let the other hens run her off the nest the first morning after she started sitting on 10 eggs. I know she was off for a while. Did this hurt the eggs?

PS. I have since moved to her own home and she is sitting on the eggs like she is supposed to.

They'll probably be fine. Especially if it's warm where you are. It's so darn hot here my flock has buried themselves under my tomato plants.

I live in KY so it has been in the low to mid 80s in the afternoon. I also thought that maybe the eggs had not been warming long enough to start developing. I hope they are ok. Like I said she is the perfect mother now but I know they cooled down at least once early on.

Sneak one or two out in about a week to candle and make sure. They should be ok. You're lucky to have a broody wyandotte!
