    Time told that it was indeed a cockerel. He was beautiful, tough and funny. Unfortunately, as the hens ran under the deck.... he tried to take on a hawk around Christmas. It didn’t go too well. I miss him.

    I am pretty sure that the Crested Cream "Leg"bar gets the white ear lobes from the "Leg"horn in their genetics.

    I'm not sure my neighbors will be thrilled if it is a cockerel, but I guess I could still get olive eggs if I crossed it with the Marans. My daughter, who loves Greek mythology, calls it Olive Athena & named the Marans "Calypso" but if the OE is a boy I want to call him "Popeye."
