    I have 14 young pullets of about 14 weeks of age. I was watching them eat today and started wondering... How old should they be to start feeding some sort of grit to them? Im sure it has been answered before but I have not loged on in a while and still figuring this new look out.

    As far as being egg bound, maybe try giving her a swig of olive oil to lube her system up. I personally have never had an egg bound chicken yet but I have heard many people having sucess with that

    SO I have aquired 10 GC pullets that I put in with my 4 youngsters I hatched myself. Out of the 14 there is one cockereal. One of my GC will eat for a while, then start rolling in the feed.
