    See if there any old time lumber yard around you , they may give you a few barrel's full for free , I have one near me about 4 mile away and fill up 6 -55 gal barrels full and pack in , for $5.00

    I was just going to start a thread about How much feed per bird when I came across this one , so seeing a 50lb. bag of chicken layer pellets up here in Ma. is about $11.51 that's $ .23* per lb. .......so roughly 2 lbs. per chicken daily = $.46 cent daily ...........so it costs me about $.55...
