    I put pallets in mine and then sheets of wood from home depot on those and it works great...and then I piled all the hay on top of the wood, my girls love to scratch and get all the seeds that fall through or just scratch around in it. It works great, I have had it up for two years, never a issue...

    Doesn't matter to me where they hatch from, I love the breed period, even if they are mutts, some of mine are, they are still Chickens or Roosters and that is what I love....:):) But you are also soooo far from me.......we are in Laveen, aren't you out in maricopa...?
