    I used a beach towel, moved real slow and quiet. towel hanging between me and him and then slowly lower it onto the trap then grab the handle through the towel. slowly pick it up and the only sudden movement is when I drop the trap into the water. they seem pretty calm with the trap covered.

    Our chickens are so hyper and they always fly over the fence so we might cut the flight feathers so they don't lay eggs in the yard, or risk being hurt because they just flip out!
