I don't think it's her crop, none of the other chicks have it and her swelling is going down. Thanks for the comfort, I still feel a little sick about it. Poor thing!
I did the one thing I tell my kids not to do! I stood over the brooder box with a 4 day old chick and proceeded to drop her on her head. She fell about three feet. She seems to be fine eating, drinking, sleeping, pooping, and does not seem to be in distress. However she has a large marble size...

yeah its so much fun watching them out there. My wife and son had a blast hanging out with them and we all look forward to them being old enough to move in.
Oh man how much fun is this! It's warm enough here now ot take them out for a bit of outside fn so we brought the babies out to introduce them to their future home!
It took a few minutes for them to move around but once they did oh man it looked like they were having a ball out there...
Major update. the coop is at 99% completion. All that's really left to do is build a ramp going in the coop.

Thanks for the response guys and girls. Its been allot of fun so far and we cannot wait to get it done! I'll update the thread here as I get more built.

Hit up your local lumber yards for pieces of wood that came off of shipping crates. Most of them will have tons fo it laying around. My first try out fo the gate at a Lowes store yielded me 4 sheets of plywood and probably 10 2x4's for my coop. Also as others have stated craig's list and...
Greetings from the mid west! Some friends of ours have children who are in 4H and this year their daughter is doing chickens. Naturally we go down to Murdoch's with them to see the baby chicks and what do you know, I walk out of there with 6 baby chicks! My family couldn't be more excited...
