I have a mixed flock, so tend to use a low calcium feed. And give them oyster shell on the side.
I also have a bit of experience in water treatment, and one of the things we use to neutralizer water is "Fine calcite"

Is the hen locked in a coop/pen? While she may well hatch the chicks, if she is allowed to free range the chicks won't last long. They don't make good mothers. They range far and wide, and at a pretty high speed, the chicks won't be able to do it. Most of the Guinea keets can't either.
She showed up last night with a huddle of keets. That wasn't really a surprise. What appears to be two Turkey chicks mixed in with her keets was though.
Sad thing is, you can teach them to fear a particular person. But not "people". If he's not exposed to many people besides you. And you got him to respect you, could be fine. But he will still challenge, and attack new people.
