no, if you read the bag most grit is for birds 10 weeks old or older, I got a bag and looked like the grit was kinda big so I smashed small amounts of it with hammer and sprinkeled on food for a few weeks , I never had a problem..
seperate them, IM going to have this issue soon I have a large run and coop so I can just fence off different areas at different times for this purpose
