    I've been wondering for several days why my Araucana hasn't been giving eggs. Well, I found a clutch of 4 eggs under a bench in the yard. I want to keep them, but I'm unsure if I should. It's been rather cool last few days. Is there a way to tell if an egg is good by cracking it open and looking?

    Things are drying up here in California. The greens are about gone and the fruit trees are being ravaged by birds. My chickens eat what seems to be a lot of plums that get knocked off by birds. Should I limit the fruit they can get?
