Eggs of mature Hen missing yolk twice

We have 3 year old Hens and twice an egg has been laid in the last week without a yolk.Wondering if they are missing something in their diet. They are being fed laying feed. They are also slow on laying this year Maybe an egg every 3 days. Anty experiance with this would be helpful Dave

need a clever name for my chicken coop - suggestions?

We call ours the "Corona coop" cause it was built during the lockdown. We used our stimulus money for it so we got our money for nothing and our chicks for free.

    Sick Hen I think

That describes it to the tee. What threw me off was she is the only one of them being the same age, i have looked at a bunch of molting pictures and they look similar. i will keep and eye on her. thanks

Layer feed with 7 week old chicks

I ran out of chick feed and have some layer feed for my adult hens. My question is it it ok to let the chicks have the layer feed a couple days until I can get the all flock feed. I just moved the chicks into the coop area. I plan to to switch over to the idea of all flock feed with a side of...

    Hi. I’m new

I am starting from scratch so no coop yet. Thinking of a chicken tractor. I can’t wait for the weather to break here in Michigan so I can park my car outside to make room to build the coop. Thanks for the welcome
