We just got done doing that with ours. Last week we moved the 7 week chicks out of the garage to the coop and run with our 3 adults [2 hens and 1 roosters] we had to help the chicks find their way into the coop from the run for a couple days. they go in at night now no problem. Today we let them all out for some free ranging in the yard and the older ones stuck to theirselves and the chicks hung out together neither group went far and went back into the run a litte later so i guess it was a success. I have seen a little pecking here and there but nothing vicious.i feel i should mention that we only have had the adults for about 3 weeks so maybe that helped with the whole transition.
