Makes me grateful for my friends that have cared for my zoo. I get fun texts a couple times of day telling me which animals are throwing parties and who was requesting 6 course meals.

There are others who add spent brewers grain to increase the protein (runs in the ballpark of 32%). Its often free from local brewers. Can be dried or frozen to last a bit longer. I haven't yet tried it but will be soon with winter bearing down & fresh greens becoming scarce.

I've been looking at the 101 ways to keep water from icing over in cold weather (we will drop to -20 degrees in any given year). I was wondering if anyone has tried a reptile heating pad under their metal chicken waterer? They are designed for damp environments so the thought crossed my mind.

I'm drawer deprived. The only other drawers are in 2 clothes dressers. Storage was an afterthought....or non-thought in my old house.
