    Copper sulphate for canker

I'm also considering rebuying the harkers spartrix tablets to give that a go. We used to have a tub, it's gone awol. It's £25 for a tub of 50 tablets, the instructions say 1 tablet per pigeon - does anyone actually have success with these tablets? If so, did you double the dose?

    Copper sulphate for canker

Getting overwhelmed reading various posts about copper sulphate and acidified copper sulphate and the amounts to use etc, so thought I'd make a fresh post. The following is what i've purchased: https://amzn.eu/d/bPOA2DH What are the amounts to dilute into water please? And how long should it...

    Shouting out again for Lacey!

Slightly worried to do this now as it's 9pm and we live in a farmhouse and her very large dog crate is in the kitchen, where the fire is not...would it really be dangerous to wait until the morning?!

    Shouting out again for Lacey!

No not on the outside but it really is as if there's a cake of poop stopping other poop from being released...for a while she had diharrea and a really very messy bum, so for her to now have the almost opposite (although still messy) is very confusing ! We'll continue to rid of the rest of poo...

    Shouting out again for Lacey!

I think so, as when she tries to poop the vent opens and there's poo there but just some mucusy liquid comes out but she carries on straining, and the large pink area above her vent pulses in and out. It's night here now so we're gunna have to try again in the morning. Thanks for alll your help!

    Shouting out again for Lacey!

I was so focused on the fact she might have worms/be prolapsing that I stopped looking at eggbinding treatments...

    Shouting out again for Lacey!

Thank you for your reply ! We're gunna try that tomorrow. What is best used for the lube? I've seen multiple opinions of people saying yes and no to both vaseline and olive oil.....? At the end of the bath I was picking away with my bare fingers, only way to get the clumps off! But I did stop at...

    Shouting out again for Lacey!

She hasn't layed no, but we have 7 chickens and I don't think they all lay so she could be one of them. We also don't know the age of the birds so she could have been at end of lay etc. Strangely when letting them out this morn, there was half an egg shell on the floor and it was the first...

    Shouting out again for Lacey!

Please please please Looking for some more help as I can't contact a vet until Monday and I really can't find anything online that matches all her symptoms. She's now gone the other way, the diharrea has stopped and now she doesn't seem to be able to poop a lot. She strains hard and the area...

    Potentially ill chicken

Just thought, could the egg shell have come from her? It was about half a shell, no egg although they could've got at it before I did. It was hard shell with the inside membrane

    Potentially ill chicken

Perfect I'll try the carrot soup later today after she's bathed and settled. Really sadly she's now got blood coming from her vent, and when I let them out this morning she was rasping slightly through the nostrils. Our friend is coming over next 2 days to collect poop. She was eating and...

    Potentially ill chicken

She's mainly doing this when standing now, although was quite happy eating sunflower seeds thrown around as a treat, and still is fine to clean herself! I'm now thinking it is something internal as can't feel any lumps or bumps, except the mass above her vent. Can't make her a warm isolated...
