i use it mixed in every few refills of the feeder they kick out what they don't want and when i don't see any on the ground i put some more in not alot but a small hand full i guess its about once a month

i just went into lock down, i have 8 black copper marans and this is my first time so I'm excited and nervous i tried candling but i couldn't see a thing though those dark shells so i have my fingers crossed, hopping i get something. I've thought about ducks can u suggest any faves
Thanks i was also wondering if my coop was a little small but now im not worried about it, and like i said i should end up with less as i have a couple freinds thinking of getting some chickens of their own, so i offerd to give them some of mine.
Well i hope to end up with twenty or less but i had 2 Brahma hens 1 roo given to me and 2 black hens i cant identify. i bought 5 white leghorns, 3 Welsumers, 2 Rode Island reds, 1 Easter egger, 4 Plymouth barred rocks, and have a friend hatching out 6 Black Copper Marrans
I am building a 4' X 8' coop with a 12' X 12' yard i plan on having 25 or so hens and was wondering how many laying boxes i might need i thought of building twenty but was think i might not need that many. thank you for your help and time
