@ dcrow I am partial to pekin ducks. I have four two females and two males. They can a little noisy but they have been really great. They let my two girl chase them. They enjoy it actually. They are good layers too. I have way too many eggs I don't know what to do with them. Going try some of my baking with them. Hope your hatch is successful! @ tiffany as long as you see movement they should just hatch late . I think they will be fine just keep checking

I'm no expert so I can't say... They do look to only be about 1/4 of the egg but the air cell is clear so isn't that a good sign and it looks like they have a slant to them (I think I read that is good also.) Have you noticed an internal pip yet? Do you have water in your incubator still? Do you happen to know the % of humidity you incubated at? I never did get a hydrometer and the humidity has worried me this entire time. I'm going to invest in one before I set more eggs. I'm crossing my fingers for you! Hopefully someone can give you more info on what you can do at this point. Good luck!!!

I would give it a couple more days. I remember see a topic in the forum ( incubating and hatching) about draing extra fluid? Not sure about that. But it might be worth reading about. I will check some of the books I bought. I had a wonderful dinner with hubby . But I found myself daydreaming about my eggs or talking about them

The air cell is very clear. Some of them have a slant to them. I have been candleing them, and they have not pipped internally yet. I did dump the water back out today. I have decided that I am not going to add water until I see a internal pip. That way the air cells will have a chance to grow more. I just wish I knew about how many days behind they are. I do not know what the humidity is. I should have kept a closer eye on the air cell, and then I would have known to run the bator dry. Thank you for your opinion.

Okay thanks. I figure I will stay up a little late tonight so I can candle again before I go to bed. Just finished a blue bell ice cream sandwich, and took a look at the "super moon".

Another egg has a tiny external pip and a lot of movement! So that makes 2 out of 7 so far at day 27. This is exciting!!! Hoping and praying all goes well with my little ducklings!!!

@decrow - I have Indian Runners and really like them. They aren't super friendly so if you are looking for a pet I wouldn't recommend them but we can still catch them if need be. They are pretty quite and get along well with my chickens and they are also great layers. I mix their eggs in with chicken eggs when scrambling and use the duck eggs in baking.
