Its raining like crazy today and a couple of the birds are hanging out under the porch out of the rain. They have their heads tucked under and i just thought it looked funny. so took a picture of it. First is Pete Black shoulder purple male and second is IB hen.

They are different than the other chicks hatched from this batch. The only rooster i have Is a White showgirl and the hens i have are 2 black silkie hens 1 white silkie hen and 1 blue splash hen. All the other chicks hatched black and some white.

I knew it was right in there some where. I also know they reach sexual maturity at about 250+ pounds. My larger pig was in heat about 2 weeks before we had them butchered, Or i think she was heat. She had swollen female parts. I hope the heat cycle and the extra hormones don't taint the meat any.
