    Glad I did an advanced search and found this thread. Newbie here. The outbuilding I'm planning for our coop usually gets some wasp nests every year under the eaves. They don't usually bother me, but I am wondering about my new chicks. Is this a real concern or? Thanks for any advice anyone...

    Would love to hear how it goes with the pup. I have a golden retriever and maremma so am planning to pen ours up good until I can figure that part out. Seems to be lots of great resources out there on that sort of thing though. Let me know how you make out.

    New to chickens in BC

    Hi Speckly chicken! I am from BC (Salmon Arm) and am new to this group as well. We've decided on White Chanteclers, Black Jersey Giants and the jury is still out on the layers - leaning towards Wyandottes. Looking forward to hearing how things go for you:).
