    Thank you, I checked her over and can't see any obvious injuries. I only have 7 chickens with 3 nest boxes and have video camera in coop and haven't seen any fighting. She laid another egg, still limping...just very odd original foot she limped on now she stands on it and has trouble with...

    Soft wood savings dried with kiln?

    Is it safe for my week old chicks to be on softwood shavings that were dried with kiln? I bought these from Runnings that sold me the chicks. They say they use it. But I don't trust people. I just changed all that out and put fresh in. But when I was looking at the bag I noticed the word kiln.

    Hi all, I just picked up my first 6 chicks last night. They slept pretty good under the brooder heater, my question is...if all born the same day, how come my Barred Rock chicks are huge compare to my Golden Comets and Chocolate Orpingtons? I'm worried about the tinier ones?
