    The good news is that the second one has hatched. It’s one of six BCM hatching eggs shipped to me. The rest didn’t do anything; this is the only one that hatched. I’m naming it Miracle 🙂. I actually was able to capture the hatch on video. It was pretty exciting 😂.

    It’s hard to see much, but here it is. Good news! The second one zipped and hatched. I assisted the other one, but it’s very weak and I don’t think it’s going to make it. I’m leaving it alone. It responds to the new hatchling and moves a bit now and then.

    22. That’s why I’m not concerned about the late pipper (I’m leaving it alone). But the one that pipped with the others almost 48 hours ago wasn’t making progress. I can see that it’s much weaker than it was. Thinking it may not make it.

    I removed the top of the shell (air sac portion), but left the rest because I’m afraid of disturbing the (umbilicus?). That’s the best I can do and I’m at peace with it now. Thanks for your advice.

    Thank you. They are out and eating and drinking. Look healthy. I’m afraid I’m going to lose the one with the huge hole in the shell. I’m not sure if I should try to help or let nature take its course. It seems very weak.

    Thank you. I’m gonna do it as fast as possible and try not to drop humidity much. Think I’ll try to just reach in and pull them out without completely opening the whole dome lid. Ugh. So nervous. I think the baby in the one egg is very weak. Poor thing.

    Yes, according to everything I’ve read it’s very good for them. I feed it to mine occasionally and they seem to love it.

    That’s a great idea! Right now I’m using trays that go under appliances. Works pretty well and they fit great under my roost. But I think I’ll try the plastic runner when these trays wear out.
