So i could give her a crushed up 1/4 of a 22.7 baytril tablet. I was thinking i could crush it up and roll it up in a little bread ball or something she likes
She is a buff orpington and is an average size. I'm guessing 4 to 6 pounds. I have plenty of the Baytril. It's kind of old but I'm sure it still works. Could i crush it up, soak a bite of bread and get it in her that way?

2 baby chicks were born sometime today, not sure exactly when. 1 is walking around fine and the other one is walking and falling over. Pretty much just wanting to sit. Is this normal for a just hatched chick?
This is our second time with a broody chicken. Last time our hen, Daisy, hatched 3 babies, one of which was the poor little chick that I tried to save for months. It had a mysterious, horrible foot problem, that I could never heal. I tried EVERYTHING.

Just a guess on the hen that maybe she is broody?? They will sit in the nest box quite a bit with no eggs underneath.
As for the rooster, it sounds like he got attacked by something. Is he eating and drinking ok and good idea bringing him to a warmer place!
