We brought her inside, and keep her in the garage at night. So she is safe from flies.
As for antibiotics, I have not been using any. I have been using antiseptic to clean the wound, and a nutritive spray to ease discomfort. The feathers were torn away on the main part of the larger wound, and...
On Friday, a raccoon got to my ducks. We lost one, and another is injured. It has a cut on its wing and neck. Neither of the cuts are too bad, and we have been cleaning them to prevent infection. But, the injured wing isn't tucking in completely. I was wondering if I should tape it into...

Hi! I just leg-banded my ducks, and was wonder who here leg bands theirs? What do you use to leg band yours? I tagged mine because I am going to show them, and was a bit curious!
Yep! It just happened to my Campbells too! It may take a while for the feathers to grow in, so a curled tail feather may show up. My ducks voice their opinions loudly to me , so I noticed a voice change in a few. The females loudly protest if I upset them!
Congrats with your ducklings! There could be a slight plumage difference in genders because they are a cross. But, I would wait until they are older to be sure. Then you could tell by their voice and plumage. Unless if you need to know right away.
