We are better now and fully invested in the remaining 11 exuberant chicks. We love watchping them and caring for them. All day. With school out we all have so much free time 😋
I completely agree with you and thank you for the much needed “bucking up” I respect my kids feeling but that was veering into sappy pretteen territory . No thank you! Let make the best of it and move on! our 11 remaining chicks are Quite the diversion! ID rather sit and watch them than watch tv 😋
The worst possible outcome other than dead chicks in the mail... I mail ordered a small batch of chicks to pad my hatched batch (only 4 hatched; I ordered 8 more). 7 were exuberant and healthy. One was splayed and sickly. It made me sad but the complicating factor is my 11 y.o. daughter...
I received 10 fertilized eggs from a local farm. I’m at incubation day 23 and I’ve hatched only 4 eggs. It has Been exciting and stressful. I have decided to add to my flock through mail order. I still can’t decide what I’m going to do with the chicks who end up being Roos ☹️
