    I have checked for both lice and mites. There are non present. I palpated the swollen are and it feels normal compared to the other chicken. The local vet said to keep an eye on it. I have cleaned the area and will keep an eye on it. Where do I find the NuStock?

    There is chasing going on but there is not any one bully. I did not see any lice or mites.

    I have a production red that has a bald bottom. I have noticed that some of the other birds are chasing this bird. It's a drastic change over the last week. Do I need to have a vet take a look?

    I have done the stock tank heater in both Missouri and Iowa weather and it worked well. Sometimes you have to break some ice on to of the tank but it keeps the waterline exit clear

    Yes. This fall we will be trenching in a line for the coop. I have a recirculating pump for the water to keep it from freezing in the lines. I have found in the past that tank heater and a recirculating pump keeps the water flowing.

    It has been brutal! The wind is blowing good but it almost feels like a convection oven instead of supplying relief. Her are some recent pics.

    I have not added the screen yet. With the heat I do most of my punch list carpentry stuff early in the morning. I did find a fantastic way to filter the rain water before it gets to the down spout. I will add a drop of bleach every other week to ensure the standing water is safe. If you have any...
