Good afternoon, so they are all over a yr old except 1, i have two plymouth rocks, the rest im unsure, i was told ameracauna for 4 white ones, i have three brown ones and the rest look like the pic attached, im very new to this so im still learning, i believe i am the second owner and third...
Any pointers on how to get them to start laying if they have stopped? i recently got 20 hens and out of that many i average 1 -2 a day and i imagine its the same hens laying the eggs every day, is this because winter is around the corner ? molting ? thanks !
My bad it was suppose to be one with two hens not the same photo lol. Okay, however how do i know if they are good layers since i just got them, at this point it seems like it will be a gamble.. 22 birds ( 2 roosters) are quite a few to feed over the winter in my opinion, i will have to monitor...
Here is another photo of one , hope this helps. Also im averaging 2 eggs a day with 20 hens , is that normal? I dont know how old any of them are , got them in two batches (free) which may be why..
