Sorry to hear about your cancellation. There are many reputable dealers out there but most are booked up already. All of my eggs and birds come from Whippoorwill Farms. David Grote is an honest man and has some beautiful birds. There is a group on Facebook" Icelandic chickens". Thee is a list on...
Hello all
Haven't checked in in a while hope all is well. I ended up with 6 roosters and 4 pullets. All of the roosters are beautiful. Im making arrangements to keep them all but if any of you are around Ozark Alabama ill give you one for free.
In my opinion Icelandics are the best chicken to have. They practically take care of themselves. They are extremely hardy in heat and cold. Their beauty can not be matched.I would recommend them to anyone.
Thanks for the info! Thats exactly what I needed to know. I want to make sure I keep the most diversity in my flock as possible. So far I haven't found any undeniable traits with the Icelandics. Only problem I have is that I don't have enough of them lol.

I want to say thank you for all your help your diagnosis was spot on. I found nutri- drench at TSC and started her on it. Unfortunately it seems there was too much brain damage no matter what I did it could not function on its own so I decided to put it to down. After becoming so attached I...
Hello
I keep chickens as pets and for eggs and have been real lucky not to have to cull to many. I recently tried to rehabilitate a chick that was having problems, I decided the chick would not be able to have a productive life so it was time to cull it, unfortunately I had become real...
Thanks for the info on the cup. She has the proper amount of toes lol that pic just looks funny. I can hold her up and she's fine but she pushes off and knocks herself over every time.
