    Soooo I’ve narrowed it down and tracked down the website where I got them. You guys are right about Elmo. And Dilly is a black bresse hen. 😂 thanks so much! Now I gotta figure out what to their kids.

    So I bought my first set of hens from some random breeder who didn’t know to much but kinda just threw some names around. Now I’m doing some deep digging to identify what breed I’ve got.

    He’s actually popped open his swollen eye when I went to clean it today. So both eyes are open but I’m still rinsing him with a saline solution.     Another update on Elmo… He’s not crowing. I can tell he wants to try but all that really comes out is a little gurgle and it doesn’t sound like a crow at all.
