    So my two blondies (white chickens) I got at the tractor supply store this year. I don't know what breed they are. They are completely white with bright red combs and lay brown eggs? Any ideas?

    Thank you, I have taken alot of tips I have read from this site over the last year that really have come in handy. This such an awesome forum. I have 6 red stars and 2 (not sure yet from the tractor supply store) lol

    The coop is 8x5 and the run is 8x16, we got the concept from montansandy's coop we really like it alot. I am really glad I made the switch to sand as well.

    It will be like a present waiting to see what kind of birds they are, we will love them no matter what. All my girls are my babies have not lost one yet, knock on wood.

    The girls are set up nicely under a red heat lamp. I never heard chickens could not be your pets in NC, gotta love the government. TSC is only suppose to sell 6 chicks at a time but when I told them I had six already and only wanted two he said no problem. I don't know what kind they will be...

    I did pick up the medicated starter crumbles. Like I said I was at the TSC to get my usual food for my other chickens so I know what I am doing once they have feathers but not as chicks. It was more of an impusle buy for my son who was with me but I am no dummy so I came home to do the research...
