Thanks all, don't worry about me taking the chicken wire issues as criticism. I lost a couple chickens earlier this year, one that got decapitated through the chicken wire. Turns out we had a mother coon and 6 babies living in a tree 20 yds from my chicken tractor.

There is no way a coon is going to get through this wire. I have it attached with 1" 18 gauge staples, I tried to get a section off during construction with no luck.
I'm also in the burbs with very few predators around, maybe an occasional possum or coon at night. I used some of this wire on...
I mixed 1 cup of ground up dried cat food to about 8 cups of layer pellets. Think this is enough or too much? Are there better/cheaper sources for protein? Will cat food hurt them?

I just took a video for you, , Orpington and Ameracauna both have looked mature for the past couple months, red around the faces and not getting much...
I bought 3 pullets in June, they were born in April/May. One started laying in early September, the other 2 have yet to start laying. How can I get them to start laying?
They've been fed layer pellets since I bought them.
The two that aren't laying are a Buff Orpington and an Ameracauna...
