I got my ducks last evening and had two eggs for me this morning. I was told two drakes two ducks. Only one of the drakes has a dark head though. Both drakes have lighter feet.

    The khaki-Campbell duck Thread !!!!!!!!

I am getting two KC ducks and drakes tomorrow. Do they need a separate housing from the chickens?? I have a kiddie pool etc and they can have their own horse stall... Do they need to be fenced in though??

    Silkie thread!

I got all my chicks at our local TSC... the "mixed run bantams" ended up being white silkies... all with 5 toes... some fluffier than others... The "red" pullets, are red/buff in color... and 8 are dark chocolate brown... trying to figure out what the brown actually are... LOL

    Silkie thread!

I was thinking of adding some sand to an area of the outdoor pen... inside is pine shavings and the bottom is dirt... I hope it is okay to keep the different breeds together (I noticed some of you separate yours)... the hens (only 1 or 2 of the 3) will occasionally peck at one of the silkies...

    Silkie thread!

Good morning...trying to catch up with all the posts... I have 11 white silkies... over a month old... I am of course hoping they are not all roos... I am thinking two for sure... bigger area on head etc. I also have 3 NHR hens just under a year old... and 14 mixed red pullets that so far seem...

    New here... great site!

The girls are in their own area... then going to separate them with chicken wire til they get used to the little ones... they are super sweet though so I am not anticipating a problem...

    Silkie thread!

Good morning... is it safe to assume that this is a silkie?? Some of the 11 I got, do have more feathering on the feet... it was a free run bantam chick choice.... also, someone told me that bantams are mean... is that true? Someone else said they were not mean, lol...
