No swelling. Her crop is very similar to sour crop. Liquid noises when I massage. Also, tired getting her to throw up ( I've done it before with several other chickens with good success)
There's poop but she's not eating well.
She had been doing better, but her symptoms suddenly intensified. She would only walk backwards, act dizzy, flop over. Her legs literally won't stop moving.
I have since gave her more antibiotics and vitamins.she resting now.
Ok, so I am giving her duck feed with niacin, b complex. Vitamin E, a round of antibiotics, (now on probiotic) .
She is still wobbly, looks like she has swollen cheeks, I don't know what else to do.
She just had a bath.
Her nose was running quite a bit, so the antibiotics. I am giving her chicken food mash with Vitamin drench and niacin. They've all received niacin since day 1.
I have 4 6 week old crested Chinese goslings. Had them since they were a day old. I noticed 1 with erratic behavior since the first day.
She would raise up her head and shake it like something was stuck in her throat. Fast forward to yesterday and she couldn't walk straight and kept flopping...
Today I brought home an owner surrender pekin duck. I strongly suspect a slipped tendon as the duck has a pronounced limp and the second joint is swollen. Will have it x rayed this week.
Has anyone had the surgery done? What is the approximate cost? Do I need to set up a go fund me?
