At 8 weeks I increase their protean Intake. I have never had a CX die except for in shipping or buying chicks from farm supply store. Then Butcher at 10 weeks. Been doing that for a long time now and thus far has never done me wrong.

Since there is no rooster one or two of the hens could be taking the place of the rooster. Hens will stop laying a d could start crowing as well. It is a good idea to get a rooster if you are able to. Could be why they stopped laying. Really it's hard to say why they stopped but I have seen this...

Just because the vent wast clogged dosent fully mean it wasn't pasty butt could of just been the beginning of it. And keep on medicated feed. Would only feed the eggs once a day though. In my experience of feed more it could give them the runs.

Most of the time it is dehydration. The water with electrolytes is good. Maybe try some water with some raw apple cider vinegar. 1 table spoon to a gallon. The manure on the butt is pasty but usually do to getting to hot. And keep up with mixing the feed with water to make a mash so it's easier...

Honestly I would get them on flock raiser or all flock poultry feed. I don't no why ducks and chickens kill their young but it happens a lot. Kudos to you for jumping in to save the poor little baby.

I don't use those kind of feeders but I've been told by a friend that dose they used meal worm treats. Put them on the lid cause they can't stay away from dried meal worms. Also I've been told that propping it open just a couple inches for a week will help cause they can see the food and wil try...
