    Don't you have to make sure your chicks don't get the adult hens feed? I've fed it can hurt them. So wondering when I integrate our 3 chicks with our two adult hens at about 3-4 months old, do I just give them all chick feed?

    No they all get along great. She flew out and I didn't know so let our dachshund out and he attacked her. So upsetting. She is getting better each day now, is eating and drinking and has laid two eggs! So proud of her and feel like she will be able to go back outside with her other 3 girls...

    My beautiful Rainbow chicken was bitten on the butt. I am planning to wash and apply antibiotic ointment. And separate from other girls for now. She is resting in a laundry basket. Other ideas?

    What are your guys’s favorite way to keep your chickens cool in the summer?

    Has anyone heard of making popsicles for your chickens out of cilantro and juice? I'm thinking of juicing some carrots, adding fresh cilantro and some water. Also, is buttermilk good for this hot weather?
