    I believe the darker ones are RIR and the lighter ones could be New Hampshire reds or production reds.

    I would consider stress, in which case it will just take a little while to lay again. But I wonder if you have a broody, which make a lot of sense. She just might want to hatch some eggs, you can break it or just give it time. Keep taking her eggs away and eventually she'll give up. It's normal...

    It's definitely a cockerel and a mix. Silkies have walnut combs.

    They should be fine. I would just worry about the older ones being rowdy and trampling the younger ones. Just keep on eye on them and make sure the younger one is not distressed.

    I'm in Utah as well. I have had mine outside all together for a couple of weeks and they are 7-8 weeks old. I keep a heat lamp on them at night and it get turned off during the day.

    Barred Rock and Black Australorps

    I will always favor Barred rocks, they are just a great dual purpose bird. They lay the best of any breed I have owned. If they all grow up together you shouldn't have to many issues with bullying.

    My pure bred silkies are constantly broody, they have by far been the best mothers. Bantam Cochin also make great mothers and brooders.
