Beautiful weather here in Central PA. Just planted my bulbs. And my chickens are licking their lips. What can I do to discourage them from getting into them.
Thank you for getting back to me. I haven't noticed any changes around the eyes. I'll have to wait and see about the necropsy. But I think I can get some antibiotic for them .
I have lost 2 hens in 10 days. I heard one of them coughing and sneezing and wheezing a few days ago but all the gens acted perky so I couldn't pinpoint to isolate.
Is there anything I can do? Will I have to destroy the whole flock? 21 chickens now.
Well, a friend of mine had me look at my chicks and look for a tiny nub where the spurs are gonna be. I did. Also, my cockerels tail feathers grew faster and curved over before the females started to get any.. I can't tell about this one.

Update. Abraham and my girls, after a few initial sparring pecks, took well to each other. In fact, very well. He protects my girls very well. takes good care of them and has become a proud papa. My little banty, Dolly, is the best mom ever and she isn't quite as angry with me.
