Put on gloves, wear long pant and long sleeved shirt, get some clippers and cut all vines where they climb the perimeter walls - no need to climb up on the roof.
The cut vines will die, can be pulled down then. Mow the area around the coop if at all possible to make on-going weed control...
From what I could find on line, no animal shelter can be within 60' of a property line according to Loudoun County, which rules my lot out. However, I have heard from people on this forum who keep chickens in town in Purcellville (one gal said she lives right by the Town Hall) without problem...
Thanks for your reply. Fortunately, I am the Dining Room Manager, so I am not directly involved in the tough choices: all I have to do is pursuade them not to hit my servers when they deliver them a pureed meal ;-)

It used to be you could buy chicken necks and backs in supermarkets for soup, but I guess they do all the meat cutting centrally now, not in the stores. Anyone out there have necks they'd like to part with? They make the best stock.
