    Euthanizing predators

A good pellet rifle either co2 powered or pump will do it . I have one to scare off unwanted visitors without being deadly IF i dont pump it up too much. Pumped to the max 10 pumps the pellet travels 850 ft per second. From 2 feet, thats deadly, and quiet.

    Cooper's or Sharp Shinned Hawk?

Asshat hawk, loves chicken or any other bird, but will eat just about anything that walks, crawls or flies.

    Is it normal?

If you give your kids only what they love and not what they need, they will clean their plate every time. Chicks need a good starter grower (crumbles) occasionally some treats are ok, depends on what you provide, maybe some probiotics to help that gut, probably too many treats.

My first ever hatchlings super excited.

    Advice needed please

No, you dont spray or otherwise wet the eggs. Doing so could compromise the protective coating naturally present on the eggs. Water in the incubator only as per instructions.

how to cope w/ chick mortality?

To us, natures ways seem cruel at times. Survival of the fittest to propetuate the species. If all survived it would weaken and soon make extinct the species. Know that natures ways are right, take good care of the ones that live on to contribute to the next generation. It has always been that way.
