I use a paint pan with the grate thing in it turned the wrong way so its level. Then the pan catches the water. Learned this with ducklings and it works for chicks too. If I can figure out how to post a picture I will.

How much and how do you use iodine for yourself? Like in water or?? I am wanting to try this for myself as well as my chickens and possibly ducks but I haven't really heard anything about the ducks on iodine anywhere.. I am making a gravity fed watering barrel and want to use it for both ducks...
I am making a gravity fed water barrel for am automatic waterer for my chickens and ducks and I read to add iodine and since you have used it :) is any 2 percent iodine good or is there something I should be looking for specific? They say they have alcohol in them and that kinda seemed bad but...
I use the big ice cream tubs and freeze water in them and set them in the coop at night when the ladies are panting and also put them in the run during the day .. someone on here suggested it and it has helped a lot
