Thank you!
The sun rises where I live at about 6:30am, and sets at around 7:00pm.
The coop's nesting boxes/area is in a little room, but the chicken's entrance is big enough to provide light inside the coop, and there are two little windows that we keep open but I don't think they're too big...
Actually, the weirdest thing happened today. I went to go check on to see if there were any eggs again from the hens when I went to go let them out, and there were TWO EGGS!!
I usually let them out everyday, or every other day (because it's been raining a lot lately) for a couple hours. I also feed them DuMOR 16% Layer Feed Pellets. This is the brand that we've been getting them for as long as they've been eating adult chicken food, and they were laying last year...
My 3 Plymouth Rock hens haven't laid eggs since November 2019 due to the days getting shorter, but daylights savings day was back on the 8th of March, and it has been a couple weeks since then. My hens are over a year old (not entirely sure how old they were when we got them, but they were...
I have one rooster and three hens. I got them all at the same time (along with two other roosters, but we gave them away), and they are all the same age.
Yesterday, I went to go feed my chickens and I noticed that there was blood all over the coop, and that my rooster (Momo) was bleeding on his...
I doubt it. None of my hens (or rooster) seemed to be in any distress, and also all the doors to the coop were locked, and we also have chicken wire on the perimeter of the cage so no predators could come in.
I'm hoping that too, but sadly when I went to look for the egg in the coop, I didn't hear any peeping or any noises.

Also thank you to everyone for replying and such,
That's a good point, but I was looking throughout the whole coop and didn't see it.
Yes, I was. I actually didn't though until around day 15 or so because that's when I learned about egg candling.
Hi everyone! If any one of you remember, I let one of my hens, Penguin, sit on one egg. Today is the 21st day, (and would of hatched) and so I went outside to check out the egg to see if it was hatching. To my surprise, THE EGG WASN'T THERE! There was another egg there, but it was freshly laid...
Hi! Thank you guys for replying and giving me tips! It really helps out a lot!! :D
Also, to answer the both of you, we want another baby chick, but just one, not a bunch of them. :jumpy:woot
Hello, everyone! :celebrate
I have 4 chickens (3 hens and 1 rooster), and currently one of my hens, Penguin, is sitting on one of her eggs (I don't want her sitting on multiple because we're only gonna let one egg hatch). I'm not sure what day exactly she's been sitting on them, but the egg is...
Okay! I will, thank you! and yes I have ordered from Amazon before.
Yes, I have, and I cannot really seem to see like the full egg, just like that part and it's hard to see if there is anything in it.
My eggs are brown colored.
