U can try to hold them by their feet or lay them on thier backs. If they stop moving its a hen keep moving its a roo. Best way to tell is when they feather out look at the feathers at the base of the neck. If their come to a point its a roo if rounded its a hen worked a 100% for me so far.
Check the feathers at the base of the neck and the feathers before the tail (saddle feathers). If they are pointy its a roo if they r round it is a hen. #1 looks like mine rir cross with leghorn. #2 I don't know.
I know when they are getting ready to hatch they can move the eggs. How high is the humidity in ur incubator. This is my second batch so far so good. My first batch didn't work out so well. Just keep an eye on ir humidity, and they should be ok.
They are fully feathered now. I had a few on the ground. One of the rir roos ran over to the chick, picked it up by its back and started to sling it around.Im worried that the rir will kill them. Trying to do this without getting rid of the rir roo.
