It's been years since I raised my Pekings from ducklings... Can't remember...now I've got two pretty welsh Harlequins. About how long till they reach adolescent stage when I can mingle them in with my big peking?
Please, tell me... I want to get two ducklings. I plan on keeping them separated from my big duck by mesh, but in the same coop. Do you suppose that would be a salve for his loneliness?
Very sad here. My good duck, Francis, has departed for the great pond in the sky. She was a good duck who loved to talk...a lot. She gave me copious amounts of delicious eggs and years of good company.
I ask advise now, from you all, learned duck people... What is to be of her boyfriend...
Hello fellow duck people. A sad state of affairs has dawned on my poor duck world. My jumbo Peking has seemingly gone lame. She moves around on her wings with her legs dragging behind her. I am far too weak of soul to behead her. I've heard of an ether in a box end, but not sure. She's 6 years...
Ooh.... woe is me and my poor drake. He has gotten too big for his legs to support. So sad. Don't know what to do. He just lays on his belly and scurries around using his wings. So sad. Thankfully no predators around. People dont let your jumbo ducks get too jumbo. So sad. What to do?
Do to the drake... what the drake does to you....only harder. I easily over alpha-ed my drake for a very good reason. I am a larger stronger animal. I didn't hurt him. I certainly didn't need to kill him. I simply did that which nature wanted. I got to his level and pecked the mud outta him...
Well..... this is a kinda touchy question....My big boy, Izzy.... well....how do I put this? ......his umm.... well his organ....won't go back in. It usually twists its way out when he mounts one of the girls.... then goes back in. Now however....well its just swinging around ... I don't know...
The male, Izzy, my "buddy" .....has recently become very aggresive toward me. Biting....won't let me leave the pen...attack duck. He's a jumbo peking...about 6 mos. Old. The lady ducks are still cool. But the male....boy o boy.... lookin for a fight every day. Beware the drakes
sorry to interupt here..... but omg! My first egg!!!. I'm a grandpa! I planned on turning my first into an omelett.....but now...I can't do it. Its back in the hay. I have no idea what's next.
I gotta say I am a little concerned at the level of aggression found in my drake while he is mounting the girls. One female has the feathers ripped off one side of her face. Should I seperate them? Also..... is it o.k to just continue feed them flock raiser....even tho the girls are due to start...
