Unfortunately they haven't turned up. I'm looking round the garden today there are more feathers than usually and two big clumps of feather. Guess they are gone, very sad about it
There has been a dog hanging around my meadow lately (but it is fenced off from the garden where I keep my ducks) the dog is small aswell and would have issues taking on even one of my ducks. Thanks x
Hello, I have owned ducks for 10 years and they have never been taken/eaten. They are free range but have a house which is shut up at night around 7:30. The ducks that have gone are 7 years old so are not new and have never wondered off.
Just been out searching again and unfortunately found one patch of feathers where there had been a struggle. Hopefully other are just hiding not looking good though x
We don't get coyote where I live but do live close to woods so foxes are a possibility. Its been raining heavily with lightning so I thought they might have just run for cover somewhere. Will do another good check tomorrow everywhere close by. Thanks x

If we rehome the boys then there will be enough room for two new girls in the house we already have, but if we keep the boys and get more girls then we will get another house.

Just found out due to the lack of quacking and curled tail feathers that both my 2 and a half month ducklings are boys. I already have two 6 year old female ducks who live together in a house that will fit no more than 4 ducks in. I'm not keen on finding new homes for one or both...
