I have them in a medium sized dog cage now so if the dust does disperse it doesn't settle in the brooder. Is it safe for them to eat then? Cause they kinda forage through their bedding to try and eat it.
I write this with alot of sadness. I'm hoping to find a good hoke for my ducks. Somewhere where they can be around more ducks and have a lot of room to run. There's only 2 they're pekins. I don't want to get rid of them but I don't have the time, space or finances to be able to take care of them...
Yeah they swim fine and they are eating as usual as well as drinking and walking around. It only seems to happen in the bathtub for swim time. I thought at first water got into the names and thag might be it.
I actually found something to suppress the smell as well as soak of the water. It DE. I found it today at my TSC and I thought it was a litter of some sort but I read all the info and apparently it's sage for all farm birds.
Anyone know of an easy way to keep bedding dry in a brooder? My ducks keep spilling their water and I have them in a large dog crate now with shavings but they get super wet super quick. Any suggestions?
I was thinking of putting them in my garage but it's too cold. I can't put them in my basement cause my sister has cats who are obsessed with them. Idk what to do.
@Miss Lydia any idea on how to keep the bedding from getting wet? I used towels underneath at that didn't work it made it worse. I used a bath towels and they simply flattened that and I didn't want them to hurt their feet so I took it out. I can't seem to find a way to keep the bedding from...
So I think I lied to alot of people hahaha I didn't realize how Smelly my ducklings are. Haha they stink. Not enough incense in the world haha. I guess it's a mixture of poop wet bedding which I've been changing and wet food.
Haha I very much appreciate the kindness though. You wouldn't know as to where I could buy one for a decent price do you? They are just getting too big and starting to stink a bit cause they are so enclosed at this point.
