    Rooster is a male, I could be wrong on the breed as I am not sure if you can get a brown leg horn chicken in your area.

    It looks like a rooster as the comb is fairly large and red, as for breed I just acquired one that look the same and was told it was a brown leg horn?

    Thanks, I did put the fencing about a foot deep to prevent peditors from digging in as well a row of raspberry bushes to conceal them from view. My duck's go in locked housing at night just at sunset, before coyotes, foxes start to hunt. As for winter here well. ...... it gets as cold as minus...
