Also yes, the mink attack was horrible!! BUT we did shoot the mink in the head later that day which made me feel a lot better… (not usually one for killing things but this situation was different..) -

This is mumma ducks new coop! There’s a large hutch up the ramp for warmth Yes similar situation here, ducklings hatched in an inconvenient area, I left them there for as long as I could but yesterday had to be moving day! -

Thank you, there is an odd thing actually that I’m not sure is normal or not… so I had 2 drakes and 2 female geese. The drakes decided that the female geese were going to be their mates and tried to hump them frequently 🤣 so in a strange way maybe they are pining for their lost partners….. -

Not an extremely helpful comment. The ducklings were living in a completely dark hen house with fairy lights for lighting so moving them was essential for their well-being. I didn’t move them for the fun of it. I literally moved them so they could have Ventilation, safety & light. Surly... -

Also one more question to add as I’ve only incubated before. Obviously adult ducks are not recommended to eat chick crumb. But when mumma duck is in there 24/7 it’s obviously impossible to stop her or feed her anything different incase the babies choke on it. Will her eating it have any adverse... -

I have got 2 drinkers in there, the other is like this (picture attached & second picture is from my incubated last year but for size reference ) but I put the white one in as the red in runs out soooo often (especially when mumma duck walks on it! Haha) I do try to refill the red one 3 -4 times... -
