    Boys and girls...

They are more pets and homestead helpers more than anything. So the imperfections make them perfect for my backyard. I am just hoping that I have some hens in my bunch and not all roos. I live in a suburban community and trying to not make my neighbors upset with loud roos. Our plan is to keep...

I am surprised...i figured the last 2 chickens were hens. They don't act like the others. If that is the case, I may have a batch of all roos...omg

    Boys and girls...

So like a lot of other new chicken Moms, I got my chicks from TSC. We ended up with an interesting mix. So Heihei has silkie feathers, had orange legs, light skin, and orange beak when we first got "him?". Heihei has 5 toes, and the legs turned dark, but beak is still orange and skin is light...

    New chicken Mom here!

I have been seeing them and definately going to try one. So looking at your picture makes me wonder... Chicken Little didn't have a comb at all when we got him either. It developed after a few weeks. We got 2 chicks with orange beaks. One is a silkie mix and then we have Chicken Little. After a...

We purchased our "nuggets" and ended up with 5 Silkies and Chicken Little. I have been trying to figure him out...

So I do have a roo then.. this one is about 8 weeks old now. The last one was taken at about 4 weeks old. I was hoping that I had a pullet. How loud do the roos get? I appreciate your help. I am still a newbie trying to be the best chicken Mom, but we live in the suburbs and keeping our fluffy...

These are my 4 week old mille fleur D'uccle pullets or roos

I have a question...I have a porcelain D'Uccle, and I posted pictures of mine. I read your post and everyone says I have a roo. I have seen other hens and have seen them with red combs too that look like mt Chicken Little. Does your pullet have smooth hackle feathers? Can you post pictures of a...

    New chicken Mom here!

I just saw a video with one today as I suspected that my little one was not a girl. I will definately look into it now that I have a second opinion. Thank you! 😊

    New chicken Mom here!

I was hoping it wasn't so...I live in a suburban area and no crowing allowed. And thank you! I told my husband if Chicken Little was a "he", then he would be a house chicken with a diaper! 🤣🤣 So, I had to try one on. Thought for sure it was a "she" until recently. They are all about 6-7 weeks...
